The majority of my career has been spent in software development, both as a programmer and, most recently, in management. I have managed teams at both the manager and senior manager levels and have extensive experience managing teams in remote geographical locations, both in the contiguous US and abroad. I'm known for simultaneously driving productivity and improving employee morale – elements which are normally believed to be mutually exclusive. During my programming career, I have specialized in developing C/C++ and Java software applications in the fields of aerospace, high performance computing (HPC), manufacturing, and medicine. I hold a software patent in 3D graphics and have a degree in Engineering from Brigham Young University.
My passion outside of work is cycling, both Mountain Bike and Road. I hold an international racing license and participate in 15-20 races through out the Spring and Summer. I train year round and use a periodized training system employing the latest training techniques.
I have a wife and three kids – they are my inspiration.
